Cable Yoke Cardi

So, i was looking at the new seasons designs from Drops and fell in love with this design. It is made with "Eskimo" a super bulky yarn so i checked my stash and had a couple of options for that weight, lucky for me eh?!
I settled on the RYC Soft Tweed in colour "Thistle" that i picked up at the sales from RKM Wools, sadly they are out of stock now so i hope i have enough for the job!

It's taken me a while to get my head around the pattern, i'm not a garment knitter - i make hats, socks, scarves, shawls, you know, easily constructed things! So why i chose to knit a side to side cardigan with short rows and cables is quite beyond me to be honest. Two of the cables are worked on three out of four rows and the third cable is worked on 2 out of four rows but it took me a while to figure out that while i am knitting row 3 on charts 1 & 2 i am only working row 1 on chart 3! Or something like that...

Luckily chatting with the ladies at CTnY helped me enourmously and i now have my notes worked out so i know what cables are being worked and where!

I'm going to leave the centre cable as it is but i might drop the thirsd cable down and tidy it up, that wrongly crossed stitch is bothering me more than i thought it would...

I have some of that Soft Tweed in my stash, in beige though, not that lovely blue! What is it like to knit with?
Love the pattern too, I look forward to seeing it finished!

I have some beige too, only 5 balls though, i wish i'd got more!
It is lovely to knit with, really soft and it doesn't twist/untwist like some single plys do.
It's actually more of a lilaccy colour in real life, i seem to be unable to take accurate colour photos for some reason!
