Birthday Swap

My parcel from the Crafty Threads n Yarn Birthday Swap came this afternoon!
I found a lovely pink rustling parcel and a pretty card with a lovely message inside from Terri...

And inside the parcel i found a piece of gorgeous sheepie fleece, a skein of Fyberspates Dream sock wool and a wonderful book with lots of advice on selling handmade goods.
The fleece is already earmarked for a kindle bag which i'll make once i've bought a hard cover for it :D

Thanks again Terri xx

Happy Birthday to meeeeee!!

So, i was on holiday for my birthday and as i was taking part in the Birthday Swap at CTnY i made sure Santa knew, otherwise the parcel would have been left out for the snails to eat!
(Bloke found the remains of one of his parcels when we got back!!)
She timed the delivery perfectly and it arrived not half an hour ago :oD

The postcard is my clue, it's a lovely picture of the River Tees in Middlesborough and after some deduction i worked out my Santa was Anna and on opening the card i was right! YaY! :oD

She's sent me three knitting patterns; a VW campervan, a VW beetle and a scooter plus some gorgeous enamelled glass beads, a very bright and groovy bag and a gorgeous skein of a new-to-me wool called Brigantia Luxury Double Knit which is sooooooooooo squishy i haven't been able to put it down yet!!
Thankyou Anna, i feel very spoiled on my non-birthday ;o)

Happy Birthday to meeeeeeeeeeeee!

Ok, so my actual birthday was nearly two weeks ago but thanks to the wonders of Royal Mail my parcel from the Birthday Swap on CTnY got lost delayed and finally turned up yesterday thanks to Jacky phoning the sorting office and tracking it down :o)

I've been thoroughly spoiled too! First up we have a ball of Trekking XXL which i am sure is the one i picked up and put back when we were at GK a few months ago - how did she know?! There's some beautiful sparkly glass stitchmarkers and a set of Brittany Birch dpns! That would be enough in itself yes? YES! Absolutely! BUT there's MORE!

Here we have six "fat quarters" and a pattern for a cushion cover which i can't wait to have a go at!
The colours are so me, and they complement each other so well, of course me being me i will have the devil's own job trying to decide which order to put them in :oD
The only change i will make is to use the panels as a bag rather than a cushion as it's more practical - i'll also have to look into buying or borrowing a rotary cutter as there's no way i'll be able to cut straight lines otherwise!

Thankyou so much Jacky, i love my parcel and i really appreciate all the time and effort you've put into it and i feel thoroughly spoiled :o)
