Yesterday we had a yarn swap at our knitting group, i took along some sock yarns that just don't inspire me any more and was lucky enough to be able to swap ALL of them!!
Here's my haul!
The orangey yarns came from Susan in exchange for a skein of Araucania Multy and a ball of Online SuperSocke. The Zauberball came from Steph in exchange for a ball of Opal Neon, the Cherry Tree Hill was swapped with Charlie for my skein of CTH, the two skeins of HipKnits yarn came from Charlie and cost me the princely sum of £2 and the Wenselydale was a gift! What with Susan buying my skein of Ranco solid i was then able to buy Charlie's 5 balls of Damask - all in all it was a good morning for me! I think everyone else did well too, there was certainly a lot of yarn being passed around and oohed and squished :oD
A few of these goodies have been earmarked as Chrimble presents, the Damask will most definitely be a shawl for Mum, the CTH will be something for Bloke and there's at least another scarf and a pair of mitts there but i can't who they're for in case they read the blog ;o)

Very productive indeed. A stash swap is a brilliant idea. The one thing I miss about the shop (just the one) is the deliveries & the squishing of all the yummy new yarns.
