Pimpelliese

So a while ago i was playing with my queue on Ravelry and decided to organise some projects and rather than leave them in my queue where i don't see them i have made them ready on my projects page. This way i have a visual reminder of projects i want to make and i don't get too distracted by new shiney things!
This was Shawl #6 in the list - Pimpelliese. It's a sideways knitted scarf, rather like the Baktus but with a lacey leafy edge that is knitted at the same time as the body. It took me a while to get into the rhythm of the pattern and i could never manage to knit it without the pattern but i got there in the end and it was finished and wrapped up for my BFF's birthday :)

Birthday Pimpel
It would appear that i forgot to take a photo of the finished article before i  handed it over!

Sweets for my Sweet

Sugar for my neck! lol

Yes, it's another One Row Lace Scarf in another skein of Araucania Ruca :oD

I love how the colours have almost striped vertically, i think it will end up zig-zagging though but i can live with that

Doesn't it look scrumptious <3

I think i will get a lot of wear out of this scarf, it is quite warm as well as being snuggly soft

Sugar Sugar

So once the mitts were cast off i wanted to start something immediately seeing as i was "in the zone" as it were ;o)
I saw the "one row lace scarf" on Ravelry not very long ago and it got bumped straight to the top of the queue, i've been wanting to play with my Araucania Ruca for a while now and this pattern is perfect for it and it's such easy knitting too.

I'm making mine slightly wider than the recommended 24 stitches because i think the weight of the scarf will make it skinnier than it actually is and i want it to have some substance so i've cast on 28 stitches instead to make it one extra pattern repeat wide.
