IKnit... Therefore i am!

What a truly brilliant day!
I made it to Victoria in plenty of time, and gradually the Crafty ladies arrived until there were LOTS of us!

There's: Glynis's daughter and Glynis, Sarah and Kathy, Jo, Linda and Debz, Cathy, Sharon and Joy! Although you can't see them all in that picture, they were all there, i promise!! :oD
Buffet breakfast at the pizza place was fab, i will definitely do that again in future! £5.49 for as much fry up as you can eat :oD

Sarah and i saw a coach on our way down Victoria Street *sniggering*

I love the way old and new mix in London. Victoria Street is full of big shiny glass buildings and then every now and again something catches your eye that takes your breat away. This pub really did it for me, i just love it! Further back up the road is Westminster Cathedral, but i keep forgetting to get my camera out and take photos of it!!

And there she is, the main reason for all the excitement (apart from meeting up with 20 or so forum friends and squishing some pretty gorgeous yarns and meeting some very inspiring people and well... you know...)
That, in case you didn't know, is The Yarn Harlot - also known as Stephanie Pearl McPhee, taking a picture of us, taking a picture of her.... :oD
It was very interesting to learn that us knitters are similar in many ways to Buddhist monks with our theta brain waves. You know the ones, the ones that kick in when you've just driven down the same stretch of road that you drive down every day for twenty years and you suddenly realise that you can't remember if there was anyone on the zebra crossing or not because you were driving on auto-pilot - we do that when we're knitting. we zone out and just knit along without thinking about it. Apparantly. I'm notsure i actually fit into this category though. I thinki struggle to keep my attention fixed on what i am knitting, my attention wanders to the television, the rats, the dog, the sweeties... i have to keep numerous notes of where i am in the pattern or else i forget what row i am on. I have to force myself to knit sometimes as although i really enjoy doing it i forget to pick it up.
Does this mean i am not a knitter?
Am i a fraud?
Am i just a person who knits on occasion but obsesses over it?
To be honest i don't even care, i enjoy what i do, i just have a crap memory and i am incredibly lazy! I do hate having empty hands though... thank heavens for the DS that Bloke got me for my brithday :oD

I'd have been giggling like a school girl as the bus went past! It's the closest to hanging on to my youth as I can muster... At least, that's my excuse;o)

So glad you had such a great day!
