At last!

I have finally managed to sew a properly lined box bag with a handle and pull tabs and evryfink!! :oD
By properly i mean that all the raw edges are hidden away inbetween the two layers of fabrics and not taunting me from the inside of the bag ;o)
I just love this fabric, it's so cheery and i've been putting off getting some but i had a splurge at my recent visit to Thread Bear and bought a fat quarter and another toning FQ for the lining. I think it works rather well, shame about the non-matching zips but i had to work with what i had in stash...
I decided not to try any reverse applique on this purse as i couldn't decide what to do and i think the pattern is pretty enough on it's own so i did just did some diagonal "quilting" lines to hold the fabrics together, i also made zip ends for both bags as i think it looks a lot neater
My one mistake was that i have put the handle on the wrong end of the box bag! :o/

I have three pages of notes now so hopefully the whole process will be a bit quicker tomorrow, and i'll make sure the handle goes the right end this time!
Again, the purse tutorial came from Orange Flower Patterns

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. They came out really good. I love the purses, never seen you make one of those before so look forward to seeing it in the "flesh". Colour combo works perfect, great fabric choice :-)
