Like i haven't got enough projects on the go at the moment!
I had an urge to make a granny ripple balnket after i saw this one in a Crochet World magazine i bought last week.
It's not too hard to figure out the pattern so after working out my stitch count i got stuck in using up some old acrylic chunky that i used for M's and E's Mile-a-Minute blankies a hundred years ago!

I'm using the recommended 6mm hook and it's quite erm... firm, but i am hoping that with a wash it will soften up a bit.
It's going to be for a friend's little girl who needs something to play with other than her Mum's hair when she's dropping off to sleep!
OUCH!

I love it.... I can see us both with a LOT of crochet blankets in our futures!!
Love it, haven't seen anything like it before but it really looks good, far better than the average granny square :-)
