They are a very basic recipe and each mitt took about 3½ hours to complete!
Cast on 40 sts, join in the round, K2, P2 ribbing for 24 rounds, then K2, P2 ribbing knit flat for 12 rounds, then join back into the round for another 24 rows of rib and finally i used a lovely stretchy cast off where you K2, then knit those through the back loop, then K1, then knit those two through the back loop, then K1, then knit those two through the back loop... all the way round :oD
It flares out a little more than the cast on edge does but i think that just adds to it's charm ;o)

They are knit with New Lanark Donegal Silk Tweed, in the shade Swinford and took less than a whole ball but i haven't weighed the remains yet ;o)
The wool is gorgeous, it's two plies, one of mid grey and one light grey and it's dotted with flecks of blue, yellow and brown and i really like how it's knitted up - and they are SO warm!! I'll be making myself a pair in the future, just for wearing round the house on cold days :oD
