Somehow or another my big ball had become several smaller, knotty balls and rather than struggle on while knitting it i decided to tackle it!

I would have liked to have only cut it once but unfortunately i had to cut it twice... still, i now have a nice tidy ball to knit from and the ends are being knitted in as i go, i already have one sorted ;o)
Now that i am past the dividing bit i really am a lot happier with the jumper, it was just getting impossibly big for me! Bearing in mind i tend to stick to hats and socks there has been a lot of knitting going into this!
It's daft though, cos i have knitted blankets and shawls in the past and there are probably no more stitches on the needle that there have been for them, it just seems huge!
It's all worth it though! I have what resembles a rather full sleeved shrug at the moment. The pattern says to knit straight for 6" and then do the waist shaping, but having tried it on this morning a couple of inches should do it, i don't really have much of a waist really so might not bother with them at all and just knit it staight... we'll see ;o)

And you said you don't knit jumpers!! It's looking fabulous. I know what you mean about the the amount of stitches though but you'll be whizzing along now the dividing is done...no sewing has to be the best!
The pattern looks lovely. Can't wait to see it finished. So sorry you had to spend knitting time unfankling though:(
