On Friday afternoon i had an appointment with the oral & dental department thingie, they were the ones who referred me to neurology so i knew that they'd be signing me off, besides, the consultant no longer works there anyway. I see a lovely man there called Mr. McEachin (possibly an incorrect spelling) he's really easy to talk to and doesn't talk down to you at all, and it's his fault i took my tongue stud out too cos he told me that i was wearing the enamel off my teeth and that's a VERY BAD THING! *lol*
On my way out of the hospital i saw a family of pigeons huddled on the window sill, they looked all scraggly and forlorn and i know they are vermin and a pest and blahblahblah but i'm a sucker for Mother Nature and all she throws at us ;o)
On my journey overground on Thursday i noticed that the bus took me past the "gherkin" - the Swiss building - so on Friday i decided i'd only take one bus and walk the second half of the journey as it's not very far at all. So i got off at Aldgate and stopped to take a picture:
then it was off down Fenchurch Street towards London Bridge, at the end of which is of course The Monument:
Pausing halfway across the bridge to take in the wonderful view of Tower Bridge and HMS Belfast and the side of the GLA building:
I was ever so proud of myself. I've become quite timid over the years and i still get pangs of agoraphobia left over from "the dark days" ;o) so to take myself to London on the train, make my way to and from hospital and then to walk part of the journey too it was a fab feeling. I even managed to sit on a crowded train without feeling like i was going to cry/faint/scream/kill someone *lol*
It's just a shame the camera on the phone isn't as good as my old one, but you get the gist :o)
I might even have knitting content for you at some point :oD
