On Friday i had been dithering about what socks i'd be making this month, when i got home from GK! on Saturday i knew exactly what i was doing :o)
I've cast on Lorna's Laces in "Sassy Stripes" and i am doing them toe-up and two socks on two circulars *gasp*
I bought the new Interweave Knits on Saturday and there's a nicely written article in there for the Eastern cast-on and a short row heel so i shall follow that but i am doing my own pattern. I was going to just do a 3x1 rib but last night i was playing around and i've done 6 rows of 3x1 then i moved the purl stitch to the centre of the knit stitches and did 3 rows and then started another block of 6 rows of 3x1, i'll see how it comes out, i might frog back and just do it plain stocking stitch *shockhorror* cos i really like the colours and the pattern might be too fussy.
No pics yet, i want to get some more knitted before i show it off *lol*
The cast-on took me a while to master, i couldn't work out where the needles ought to go as it was quite fiddly, but once i knew what i was doing and where everything went i managed the second foot with no instructions in front of me and on the move too!!
Right, my knitting corner needs a tidy up, i have several yarncakes that need rewinding and putting away and knitting paraphernalia all over the place so i am off for a tidy :o)

Show us some pics of your GK haul then. We're stopping at GK tomorrow on the way from Stansted to Cornwall. I'm so excited.
Oh, you should be excited Anni, it's a place to get lost in! Good luck with your half hour time limit!!
There's a café called the Dutchpot just down the parade of shops and they do a wicked slice of apple pie if it helps with bribery :oD
Safe journey home hun *hugs*
I shall be embarking on my first pair of toe up socks shortly so will probably need lots of help :) Your socks sound very swish.
Oh, i'm a Pro now Bob, just holler if you need help ;o) *giggling*
They are very... erm... bright! *lol*
