with the Gypsy Girl socks.
Although the short row heel is really easy to work and avoids the need for picking up gusset stitches and doing decreases and all that jazz i still don't like it's fit! I decided after i finished the first sock that i'd carry on and do the second one the same and i'm a third of the way through the foot now. I put my knitting down at one point and when i went back to it there was a needle missing, so i hunted round and couldn't find it, i stood up to check under the cushions and there it was, bum shaped! I've managed to bend it more or less back to straight and it actually feels a bit more comfortable for having a curve in it :oD
We ate dinner late last night and it's all the fault of one lady! Natalie at The Yarn Yard was putting some new merino yarns in her shop, but she had only one or two skeins of each. So from about 5pm onwards (she might have been early, you never know *lol*) there i was, refreshing the page and waiting for them to appear! It was SO much fun, i was putting skeins in my basket, taking them out, swapping them round... it was so hard to choose just three but i managed it - just! AND! I wasn't the only one, i was joined by a few members of the Crafty Forum, we were all posting on the forum at the same time, it was so funny :oD
I just wish i'd saved the images of the yarns, the colourways she had created look SO good! She's a very talented temptress, that n! :oD Her merino sock club starts soon, it might even be today and i must decide whether i am in or out! If i'm in then i am out of the regular yarn club! OH! I hate making decisions! What to do, what to do! :oD
