SHOPPING! :oD
Pets@Home for rat food and some treats for the little monkeys. There's a new range called Naturals and the one i picked up is a "Woodland Mix" of acorns, beech nuts, mushrooms and some edible roots! They aren't keen on the mushrooms or the roots but Freddie is having a whale of a time trying to crack a beechnut! *giggling*
Next stop... ToysRUs but i can't tell you why cos it's TopSecret ;o)
Then on to Asda (exciting stuff huh?) Bob Martin's cat litter, again for the ratties - they are SO spoiled! Picked up some chicken curry with onion and red pepper and some onion bhajias, vege samosas and popadoms mmmmmmmmmmm! Had it tonight and it was gooooooood!
From there it was round the back road to Ikea! YAY! I LOVE Ikea! Unfortunately it was a flying visit to have some lunch (meatballs, obviously, you need to ask? *lol*) and pick up a sheepskin rug for M-i-L for Mother's Day. I spent some time wandering the textile department and cooing over the yummy fabrics, then i decided to push the boat out and BUY some! They have some really gorgeous cottons, lovely bright colours and perfect for swappage ;o) Of course i find it impossible to leave Ikea without buying something that i want but don't really neeeeeed and today was no exception! I am now the proud owner of an anglepoise type lamp and a bamboo blind :o) I'm going to try and find a daylight bulb for the lamp so that i can work on stuff in the evening and not have the main over head lights on and the blind is for a greenhouse experiment ;o)
Next stop was LIDL! Today was the day for cheapo knitting accessories, including 300g of 100% cotton for £3.99, 400g of crochet cotton for £3.99, various needles for 99p a set, storage boxes and sewing threads. I will be going back tomorrow for the sewing threads :oD
As i pulled into the car park at Lidl i noticed a grey beetle and there was a space next to it so i managed to get myself in there, no mean feat let me tell you! I still haven't got the hang of reversing poor WallyBug and i really struggle :o( annnnnyway, it wasn't until i had a closer look that i realised the Bug belongs to a friend! Unfortunately she wasn't in Lidl's but the gym and i wasn't able to see her, but i got a lovely photo of the two bugs together :oD
Yes, i am a saddo! Bovverrrrrrred!
My last trip was to visit with Lisa at the LYS to show her my Lidl haul. She swore a little bit then drank the hot chocolate i took in to soften the blow and felt better... until i went back and showed her the Paschamama sweater i bought for TWO POUNDS in the charity shop up the road that erm... also sell yarn... OOOPS!
So that was my day! the poor dog was left home alone but he managed to refrain from erm... using the kitchen as a toilet or a chew toy, which is always nice! :o)
