Still here!

Been working on a gift scarf, in cheapo blue novelty yarn, so that's two down about 8 to go! Don't think i am going to be finished in time for Christmas somehow! Next on the list is the Blur "Cloud" scarf for my M-i-L, with a proper pattern too! I'm hoping to finish that quite quickly cos i am itching to get some socks going!
My sockyarn stash is growing by the day, i really must stop buying and start knitting! On Monday my Yarn Yard Club skein arrived! It's so gorgeous, it's the colour of mulled wine, in fact that's what i am calling it even though Natalie simply called it Number One *lol*
I wanted to do a scarf, or maybe a shawl with it and while looking for a pretty pattern i found some links to Moebius scarves and that's something i've been wanting to try so i am going to find a suitable simple lace pattern and cast one on. There's a gorgeous one here but i think Natalie is doing it already and i don't want to copy someone else's idea!
Mum came by yesterday and we had a look at the troublesome bag pattern together. We decided that it's an error and that the stitching is meant to be straight across, like i've been doing it, and not diagonal as the pattern says! (We're probably wrong and the answer is blindingly obvious but after asking i the Townies gorup and still drawing a blank i'm happy to give up and have a square bottom!) She also showed me her new book, The Knitters Bible, i like it! Yet another addition to the wishlist! OH! She also took her Gnomey so the top of the telly is looking bare now as MiL has hers too :o( Guess i'll have to get going on another couple, i kinda miss the l'il guys!
